Black Note released today

The ones that i reported above to be at Horrock's in Battle Creek are gone.

 

Still some in Oakland County. Also pleased to see BA Cherry made it to distro. But I heard that wasn't very good, no?

Yeah I was not a fan of BA cherry stout.

 

I was third in line at the ROTB event and can't believe they increased the allocations from 4 4-pack to a case. I would have bought two cases or more had I known it didn't sell out the first day and I'm more than two hours away.

They better sell full cases this year, I buy in bulk.

 

This beers popularity waned big time last year. This year will be no different so your chances are excellent.

 

Black note is becoming just average to me. And at the price point, I'll pass it up more than a 4 pack every time. BA Expedition however, is fire. I'll buy a case of that anytime.

If you let the BBA Expo sit for 6 months it's smooth as butter. They limited it to 2 4 packs per person last year, but I can see production increasing for this one.

 

God I hope so. It's fantastic.

 

Just last years though. I recently drank a 2016 vintage and thought it was junk compared to 2017. Good thing I still have 2 4 packs left of 2017!

I didn't get any in 2016, but the 2017 seemed like all bourbon until it settled down some. At first I didn't think it was that great but over time it got better in my opinion.

Too bad 2016 didn't work out for you, that's unfortunate to say the least.

I'd love to get my hands on a case of it.....just for myself. Is that bad?

Does anyone know if BA Expedition Stout is planned for this year? Expedition is one of my favorite stouts, BA or not. Have never tried the BA version but would love to!

Would love to get some. But black note has been very hit or miss for me. 2016 batch no. 1 was the best beer I've ever had. Batch 2 so much different. 2017, still not the same. Idk.

 

LOL. These two successive posts tell you everything you need to know about just how far Black Note has fallen out of grace. About 2 years ago the first post would’ve been followed by 5 pages about getting your hands on Black Notes.

 

2017 Black Note was the first time I got it. I thought it was outstanding. Have some more aging. If it was a down year, I really wish I had gotten it in prior years!

 

Just cracked a 2016 B1 last week, and it has held up beautifully. It's a great beer.

 

I liked b2 of 2016 better than b1. So It goes.

Hoping this year's sees some distro as it's always solid!
