Black note

lol, how dare I! I wasn't saying it was bad, It just didn't blow my mind.

I'm just curious, couldn't someone take some expedition and some double cream, mix them together add some oak chips and a shot of bourbon and let it sit for a week, then force carbonate it and get the same results? actually that sounds like a lot of work for something I don't really like... never mind

 

Oh... I get it now... I think? I like them both, but since Black Note is a one off and near impossible to find I will never look for it again. Now for Expedition Stout I can get plenty of that every year and it is very enjoyable! I never realize how much I love Imperial Stouts until it starts getting cold out. Which is now here in Minnesota!

Some peoples kids. Why does a beer have to blow your mind for you not to throw it under the bus out here? Black Note is a fine ba stout and fiine enough to be sitting in my cellar. I mean why do you think all those establishments that had it for ABR week? Because it's sub-par, I don't think so... Bring on the DD!

 

You'll have to push aside all the King Henry and Rare to get to it.

 

I was until I found out I have to work that weekend now! Weak I made the last 2 years and last year I worked it. I'm very bitter about it all now! I hate my job now!

 

i liked black note. elegant, smooth beer. bells doesn't give a rats ass that a certain segment of the beer geek Internetz cannot understand a beer that doesn't beat you about the face with its obviousness.

 

I liked Black Note a lot. Then again, I love Expedition and Double Cream. As far as ranking against other beers of its ilk, I would say I liked it more than KBS, less the BCBS. That is just me and I would have ANY of them again in a heartbeat. All three were great.
