It was bottled on the 294th day (October 21) of 2010.

 

This. I have bottles from 2008-2011 and the last number is the last digit of the year and the first three numbers is the day on the Julian Calendar

 

precisleybtw that 2008 was my first craft brew and my favorite beer to date. i went back the next day for more and it was sold out.

 

I have just drank a 2008 Black Ops for my birthday last night. It was unbelievably good. The warm bourbon in the nose, the roasty, slightly oxidized malt and the finely knit carbonation were all just perfect. I would trade for lots more of that in a heartbeat.

 

if you can find any more or would want to trade one for a different vintage let me know. If i could go back in time i would never of thought twice about the price tag and bought them all (the store i got it from doesnt put prices on things and i only went through with the purchase bc i didnt want to put it back on the shelf.) im really looking forward to how the 09 and 10s age since they seemed a little bit mehh fresh. i have an 11 in the fridge that i wanted to drink fresh (but now it wont be so) and 2 for aging. i usually get 6 but this year they were no where on shelves and i struggled to get even 3.
