I bought a used Robobrew and didn’t realize till I got home that the steel wort chiller may have been damaged from abrasion or chemicals bc it has black spots that wont come off. I’m assuming this smaller wort chiller and its thinner stainless steel is lower grade and more prone to damage. Will this effect the taste of my wort if I drop it in and boil for 10 min? Would you recommend I replace it?

Best guess (and it's only a guess) is the black marks are the nature of the economy manufacturing beast. I kinda doubt it will taint your wort if you clean it thoroughly and boil it before using it to cool your brew. That said, without knowing what the black is, there's no way to know with certainty if it will affect taste.

Barkeepers Friend is a good product to have on hand when needing to clean stainless steel. I've used the powder cleanser, the soft liquid and the spray/foam. They all have their uses, but for an all-around SS cleaner the soft liquid is good.
