Stoked about this. A friend with considerable ice cream making talents has agreed to make Black Tuesday ice cream... the thought of this is making me drool.

Hi all - was never able to get my hands on any last year. If someone around the area is not going to max out, pretty, pretty please let me know. I live NY.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but you're actually a little late. The last day to buy was Aug. 31. But because allocations were pretty high this year (or at least 7 seems like a lot to me...) I'm sure there will be several on the trading block come October. Or you could always go for the online sale.

There was the same number as last year. More people got it, though, so '12 should be easier to get than '11 was. And who knows, maybe the public sale will be much bigger than last year.

The many reminder emails from The Bruery implied to me that there will be plenty of extras for the public

As mentioned above, there will be a public sale (typically the day after the release). Last year it wasn't too hard to get a bottle, you just had to be patient with the slow interwebz. I think it lasted about an hour last year, and the keep increasing production significantly each year. The only thing is you will either need to plan a trip out here sometime after October or line up a trustee.

I'd like to point out quickly that the Bruery servers are not known for their reliability, and that this year, at least, things have been selling out during online sales more quickly than in years past. GABF, RR events, and RS memberships (okay, that was at the tail end of last year, but seemed like a trend indicator).

Pre-trades for something like BT seem like a bit of a gamble anyways, unless you know you won't be able to try getting bottles online/sucker someone into button mashing for you by proxy. But it's definitely not as simple as sitting in front of a computer at the right time.

Yeah every year so far seeing if your order goes through is like playing the lottery.

Pretty sure he means "trustee", not "mule".

It lasted around (over?) an hour online last year. It was pretty simple to order. With many potential buyers shifted to the RS and bottle count beefed up, I'd expect this year's to last even longer.

It only lasted that long because their servers were slow as hell. It took over 30 minutes for me to add bottles and checkout last year. I heard most people had similar experiences.

This year, with the improved system, I think the bottles will sell quicker. Especially if they plan to implement some kind of shipping program.
