    Hey all --

A friend won the BT lottery and offered me a bottle. I'm not a huge trader, and I'm much more a quantity over quality sort of guy when it comes to beer (given a base level of quality, of course!). So, I'd love folks' thoughts on whether offering up something like 1 BT for a quantity of 5-6 not-super-limited/shelf-ish (12oz) bottles is both reasonable and feasible. Maybe along the lines of FT: 1x Black Tuesday ISO: 1x each of Black Note, Central Waters BB Stout and Barleywine, BA Siberian and Wulver, or something along those lines.

Is asking for quantity considered a douchey move? Don't want to throw something up there if it's frowned upon, so I figured I'd ask before going for it.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I will say i see a lot of ISO's and its usually quantity for quality , i know @zookerman182 does this all the time, but i really don't see too many the other way around…. I would think that people that don't agree would let you know.

I think it looks pretty fair and close to $4$....post it and see what happens....as far as quantity I dont think ur asking too much

Not at all, I traded 8 Abrasive for a Black Tuesday + , usually the preferred method for many is $4$, so if Black Tuesday was $30 it would be reasonable to ask for $30 worth of beer (exclusivity being the kicker) in return.

Thx for the thoughts, all. $4$ makes it nice and easy. Will definitely throw something up there once I have the bottle in hand.

BT is an expensive bottle and not hard to trade for so this is an instance where quantity at $4$ is very reasonable

your problem would actually be that a lot of people would rather have, for instance, 6 bottles (72 ounces) of BCBS than 1 bottle of Black Tuesday (25 ounces?). it's just that a lot of the bottles you seek are a lot cheaper than BT

I hear you. (I'm actually one of those people that would prefer the 6 BCBS, too). My thought about making it work was that I'd split the ISO into some stuff that is a little harder to find (Black Note, BCBS, etc.), but then just some shelf-ish stuff like the Central Waters Reserve stuff. Figured that might make it more palatable for folks, still easy to get in the neighborhood of $4$, etc.

I guess I'll just have to see how it shakes out once I have the bottle in hand.

    Appreciate the thoughts!

I suspect that this isn't because people don't want to offer quality-for-quantity, but rather because if you do post a quality-for-quantity ISO/FT there's a high likelihood that you'll be vilified for trying to "win" a trade by people who either don't agree with your valuation, or people who think anything that isn't strictly $4$ is unfair, or both.

6x Bcbs is pretty close to BT $4$, but Im like you too, I'd value those 6 over 1 big bottle at an Abv id feel uncomfortable handling solo. I'd probably add to the BT to move it because it's quite easy to get, a little kicker of a few good locals.
