$30 ish of limited shelf / brewery only beers. It's fairly easy to land nowadays as they've upped production significantly the last couple years.

Honestly I think just $30 of quality locals would do it these days.

What about Chocolate Rain? Would it take more?

The $4$ on Chocolate Rain is higher and I think it would take more to land a trade for one.

I was once offered a Chocolate Rain for $40 worth of Odell IPA. I didn't do the trade because I didn't want to pay to ship a case of beer to get one bottle in return...

I would easily trade $4$ with shelf stuff for a CR and would assume the sender would make up the difference. If they didn't no biggie I would still have a world class beer. If they did hopefully I'd have a great trade partner.

I normally would... I think it was one of those months where I was already wayyyyyy over my "beer budget" and didn't wanna pay $50 to ship $40 worth of beer

I get it. You'd have to have a good feel on someone to try to make sure you would be made whole on your end that's for sure.
