Black Stack released Prior Pale Ale this week. Since, I have not tried it yet somebody sad it's a hoppy pale ale.

 

Rumor has it Black Stack will be releasing Local 755 in 4 pk cans tomorrow.

 

Nice ! Must be 16oz cans ..hope they add that true stone coffee one to cans which is very damn good and a step above the regular base beer.

 

Which True Stone Coffee would you like to see in cans?

 

Really enjoyed both the coffee and cream ale and the Spare Grounds . The Spare Grounds is the one I liked more .

Honestly I’d love to see some Twin cities brewery put out a year round coffee stout in the 6% range something like Modern Times Black house or Hotbox Porter . Something you can drink more than one of and is readily available in cans. I have been buying a lot of Surly Bender and Bent Paddle Cold press but we need better options.

 

Big Axe Brewery up in Nisswa distributes their Stonehouse Coffee Stout down in the cities at a few places. It's around 6.8% and is pretty solid. Smaller canning runs though, so not certain if it sticks around much.

I picked up a four-pack to share with friends. They dug it -- yay, me.

 

I tried their solid Black Stack Punch Press Pale Ale tonight. Good stuff.

Drinking a 755/2 atm, really good all around. Bought along with hooey and dreamyard. Fierce competition in the MN $13.99/4pk.

 

Current cans have 755/3 on the bottom... BSB confirmed via twitter it is the same recipe just different canning run. Tasting real nice, wish they would put the date vs canning run.

 

@Chaz have you heard if Black Stack will be releasing Loud Pack Double Dry Hopped Double IPA next week in 4pk cans?

I forget the exact timetable, but I know that it's in the works.

The last I'd heard, Local 755 canning runs were so tight that one or more special releases would be Crowler, only until there was scheduling flexibility for 4-packs.

Last week was Double Dry Hopped 755, so I believe the Loud Pack will be next.

 

Did you try it? My friend Matt who you met said, it was tasty.

 

I have tried all of the things. So many hops. So WOW.

I'm mainly looking forward to the export-style stout. By the time it's ready it will probably see a limited canning run, and that will make for some trade-bait (or a really fun extra, in any case).

 

Will that see distribution, or is that only a taproom release? Crowlers only?
