Does a standard 20 oz. Duvel-style tulip without the Duvel logo exist? If not, does anyone know how to remove it from the glass? I love the glass, but I want it blank. Thanks in advance.
Amazon.com has a great selection of glasses including some from Spiegelau. Might be able to find something close to what you're looking for.
If I'm not mistaken, that Duvel glass in it's current form is patented. There are some look a likes, but there is only one Duvel glass and they want you to know that, hence the logo. Here is about as close as your going to get: http://www.truebeer.com/Belgian-Beer-Glass-Set_p_641.html
soak for a week in some starsan, might do it. google "starsan" and "logo removal" for a bunch of posts/info.
I'll take this one step farther, having ordered those glasses from TrueBeer, also looking for a plain Duvel-style tulip... As you can see, there is a notable size difference between the Duvel tulip and TrueBeer's glass; also, the Duvel tulip is much sturdier - the glass is thicker and has a better weight to it.
I like the glass a lot but the website says it holds 13oz which I think would be too small for 12oz beer plus head. http://www.truebeer.com/Belgian-Beer-Glass-Set_p_641.html
Durobors Grand Cru glass is available in two sizes. The 20 ounce is slightly taller then the Duvel glass but very much alike. I will take a picture to compare them. I don't know where you would have to get them in the states though. Durobor website
