Blend Love Bottles at Upright

There were 4-5 cases left on Sunday, so it's tough to say. Your best bet may be to hit a couple stores and then visit the brewery as soon as they open today at 4:30.

 

They had some last night as of 5pm.

 

Must have produced a bunch. Underrated beer IMO due to talk about not being good aged. I had one of last years the other night and it was outstanding.

 

Shhhh...dont everybody The release was sorta low key. Especially considering how I heard the Fantasia release was. I think the 4 bottle limit helped it stick around longer as well

 

I find that it takes on an acetic and muddy character as it ages. I'm personally not a fan. It's a good beer fresh, but the original, unblended Blend Love Batch 2 was spectacular, so I'm predisposed against this version anyway.

 

Btw, there's still at least a couple cases there. As well as sole comp: blend edmunds

Blend Edmunds is stupid delicious. I licked every bottlecap, so don't touch them.

 

What's this one all about? I've heard nothing about it so far.

 

Don't worry about it. It's terrible and nobody should buy it (I only think it's good because it tastes like soy sauce). Trust me, I have epic eyebrows.

 

Found it, if anyone else is interested:

Blend Edmunds, a very small batch mix of several barrel aged beers, will see limited release throughout winter, mostly at the brewery tasting room. The components include Six aged with brettanomyces, Six aged on dark sweet cherries, a cask of boysenberry Four and a cask of two year old raspberry Six. The finished beer shows plenty of depth with a core of oak and fruit. Acidity is restrained and the Blend Edmunds is a great tart beverage for those who find other sours overwhelming or sharp. Of course, this one is part of Upright’s ongoing tribute series and dedicated to Breakside Brewmaster Ben Edmunds.

I'd love a bottle of this terrible swill

 

Any one know if this is still around at the brewery or at any shops around town? I'm going to be down on Friday and would love to get my hands on a bottle or two of this and Blend Edmonds if there is still some around.

 

What did Blend Love bottles cost this year? (And not to threadjack or anything, but anyone looking to trade some bottles? Been getting crickets on the trade forums lately. )

 

they were $13 at our shop, i believe $12 at the brewery.
