Hoppy birthday and duet was really good. I'm not sure if it was better or worse than the individuals, but it was tasty.

Nice. I would have a really tough time doing the first two. The idea of putting anything, including another world class rarity, into a world class rarity is scary.

    That's the idea

I have a few others I want to try.

    "It's a Trappist!": Westy 12 and Westy 8
Row Row Rochefort: Rochefort 10 and Pliny
Belgian Waffle: CBS (for the maple) and Westy 12

I've done a Pliny with. Heady and it enhanced the hoppiness and also multiplies the tropical fruit notes and then I did a Zombie Dust and Pliny the zombie was a little bitter by its self and when combined w Pliny which was also a little bitter now became so smooth and fruity hoppy goodness with no bitter after taste These two combinations were done with 02/11/13 Pliny and Super Fresh HT and 30 day old Zombie

Moosehead and lemonade. It makes a pretty decent shandy out of an otherwise not so good beer.

If I saw you pouring CBS into a glass of Westy 12, I would have a heart attack.

Pliny and Heady was a pretty nice mix. Pliny's never tasted so great....

A few recent ones that I recall...

    BCBVS and Cherry Rye
    BCBS '10 and Raspberry Tart

Don't worry, these were done in small quantities, usually down to the bottom of the glass on the first beer with a small refill of the second beer. Both were good mixes, needed to find a good ratio for the BCBS '10 and Raspberry Tart which was about 4:1.

Young's Double Chocolate + Well's Banana Bread = Bananas Foster in a glass. Pretty damn good too.

Friend of mine did Dark Lord carbombs for his birthday last year, Dark Lord with a shot of Tactical Nuclear Penguin dropped in. He was at a bar somewhere in NY, they charged him $35 a 'shot'. He drank five. He barely lived.

On my bday I nearly mixed a 2010 Black Ops with BA Old Rasputin XV, but decided to just have each separately.

And finally, Red Hare's Chocolate Porter with a shot of Abita Root Beer was actually really damn good, since the porter was undercarbed.

I should clarify I didn't mix the entire bottles just around 4 oz of each. Good times.

Several years back I was at Goose Island Brewpub in Wrigleyville and had a 312 mixed with an IPA - it was tasty. I can't remember if it was a bartender or a random patron that recommended it, but they called it a 3PA. I've done it a few times since then, if I happen to have both of those beers, which isn't too often anymore.

Yes but that's just what I mean, you are drinking the final finished product that is, if blended, blended by the brewer for a purpose.

BCBS Cherry Rye and BCBS Vanilla

It was good but they were better separate. I didn't want to use too much experimenting though.
