Outside of black and tans I've never mixed beers, but it sounds interesting.

I keep meaning to blend 1/2 BCBS with 1/2 KBS. I imagine that will be tasty.

I'll bet. Serendipity and BCBS is also an awesome blend.

We did 50/50 of Heady and PTE at a tasting. Wasn't any better than either of it's parts by themselves.

1/2 Great Lakes Blackout Stout mixed with 1/2 He'Brew Jewbelation 16 - called it "Sammy Davis Jr." Pretty damn tasty - reminded me slightly of Hardywood Gingerbread Stout.

    I couple I've tried recently

Troeg's Java Head Stout w/ Troeg's Troegenator (aka The Javanator) - Good

Southern Tier Choklat w/ Southern Tier Pumking - Tasty in small doses, but cloyingly sweet.

    2013 Boulevard Rye-on-Rye w/ 2012 Hardywood Park Gingerbread Stout - Delicious

Hoff Ten Dormaal Barrel Project #2 (Cognac) w/ De Struise Black Albert - I was really drunk, but I remember it being a nice balance.

2004 Thomas Hardy w/ 2009 North Coast Old Stock Cellar Reserve - Mind-bendingly Delicious

Neapolitan Beertail. Tried it after seeing it on Drinking Made Easy. Great Show and Great Drink!

From their website (attributed the Bier Baron Bar in DC):

    Framboise
    Belgian White
    Chocolage Stout

-Mix Framboise and Belgian White into 2/3 of glass. Float Chocolate Stout on top.

This thread makes me think I want to try this one again with a Vanilla Stout and try to layer the 3.

Terrapin Moo Hoo Milk Chocolate Stout and Wake n Bake Imperial Coffee Oatmeal Stout. That combination is delicious!

Once we mixed Black Tuesday & White Chocolate to create a unique Black-n-tan and I must say that was one tasty concoction! Expensive to say the least but a good experience!

Fun! I like it. I've done some framboise into each of those separately, but never have I made a half and half that way.

I've mixed Lindeman's Framboise with the Samuel Smith's Chocolate Stout. It was pretty good, but I bet it would be better with a better framboise...

The other day I was mixing Widmer Drifter with homebrewed barleywine to make imperial red ale - that was pretty good.

Since I love Sucks and Flower Power, I figured it would make a great blend. It didn't, just cancelled out what was good about each beer.

Never had either one, but that seems like a fantastic mixture! ... Did you add the coors light too? lol

I've only experimented using half ass beers, so the mixture has always turned out half ass.. For example: Full Sail "Imperial" Stout, and Monk's Cafe flemish red to get a sour imperial stout like Jester King Funk Metal. Funk Metal is delicious, but kinda pricey, so I tried to make a cheaper version. I'll stick to paying higher prices for higher quality from now on lol.
