Whoah. never thought of that. My 2 fav worlds (chocolate stouts and sucks) colliding? Man, I gotta try that.

as of yet, I've never mixed beers. I'll only do beer ice cream floats :stuck_out_tongue:

Monday night, blended CW Fourteen-Fourteen and Fifteen (on-tap, blended both separate and together) w/ New Glarus Raspberry Tart. Took a few tries to get the blend right, but once it was there....boo- ya!!!

I mixed a shot of bourbon county vanilla with cherry rye..... It tasted exactly like you would expect it to.

A few weeks ago me and some buddies did a big beer tasting night. My contributions were 2010 darklord and a 2012 dfh 120 minute. We had about 1/3 left of the 120 and 1/4 of the dark lord. So I thought. Why not a 120/dark lord Black and Tan. He grabbed a few small glasses (bigger than shots but smaller than snifters. Like typical flight glasses) we had enough to do half and half in each glass. It was amazing.

My co worker did a dark horse Black and Tan with double crooked tree and plead the 5th. He said it was not that good, not bad but neither beer did anything to bring anything out of the other beers

Just started experimenting with blending. I find it helps with the $100/wk craft beer habit while you are looking for the right "taste". If you are in the mood for a hoppy tasting lager, try 12 oz of Flying Dog Atlantic Lager with 2-3 oz of Boulevard's Sixth Glass Quadrupel. Very Nice, for my taste, anyway. Adding the quadrupel changes the lager dramatically. Color, clarity, flavor. The head kind of goes away, but very flavorful. And Flying Dog is putting out a 12 called Shock and Awe at a very nice price.

I am about to keg my first one. I was thinking probably let them ferment out separately then just blend them pre-bottling... let me know how it goes!

Back in college I used to go to a local brewery called Iron Horse and mix Irish Death (Some kind of American Strong Ale) with Malt Bomb (taste like it sounds). Once I got into beer a little more seriously I renounced this practice. But now after hearing some of these suggestions my mouth is watering to give it another go with some better beer!

Once I mixed equal parts of GI Bourbon County Stout and Cantillon Lou Pepe Framboise, was very good.

I thought the dude from Mikkeller absolutely hated his brother @ Evil Twin. I would not have expected to see his beer on tap at his brother's bar.
