I hope not. A great Polka song has told me that "in Heaven there is no beer"

I have looked for dogfish head 120min and succeeded, and I have also accidentally stumbled upon a pair Founders KBS bottles...Now I have an extra bottle of each in my fridge and the thought came into my head the other day...why not open them both and mix them! (split with some friends of course)...I've tried blends before of Imperial IPA's and Imperial Stouts at the bar and they were good. So would I be wasting great beer or creating an even more epic one!?

Just mix a small amount of both. I tried a black and tan with 120 min. and WWS. I didn't like. Love DFH, but not a huge fan of either. 120 min is best fresh and probably aged for a long time (over 3 years). Probably the same with WWS, haven't had it fresh.

OP why would you want to do this? Is this post some sort of humble brag fail? Or does it really seem to you that these two beers would be great mixed together?

IMO sounds like the result will be no improvement to the horrible overhop and overalcohol monstrosity that is 120 and complete destruction of the greatness that is KBS.

Is there such thing as an "extra" bottle of KBS?

Do what you want with your beer. You never know what you might end up creating. I'm normally a purist but I mixed Schlafly Pumpkin and Heady Topper together a while back (creating Pumpkin Heady tm) and it actually turned out to be pretty damn good. The only time I'd advise against mixing is if you've never tried the beers separately.

Well said! Besides how are you to know what the blend will be like if you don't know what the individual ingredients taste like?

I still want to make a Pumking Mocha- one part Pumking, one part Choklat, one part Jahva. I just need to work out the proportions... And figure out how to get Southern Tier to release them at the same time so they are all fresh and the favors work the way I want.

It's a dream that's just not meant to be, I suppose.

At the Café Trappisten, across the street from the Westmalle Abbey/Brewery the serve a "Half & Half." Half of their Dubbel mixed with half of their Triple, it's quite good! I think I liked it better than either of the beers by themselves.

I recently mixed Finch's Fascist Pig (a hoppy red) and Finch's Secret Stache (a vanilla stout). Individually, the beers were just ok and not really something I'd want to buy again. However, the blend of the two was much tastier than the originals.

I couldn't decide if I should call the blend Secret Pig or Fascist Stache. Maybe even Secret Fascist Pig Stache?
