Founder's Blushing Monk with Southern Tier's Choklat, it turned a group of Charlton Heston wannabes into a group the local women's club would be proud of. Tasty and pathetic.

Isn't mixing beers basically the point of Black & Tan?

Also a simple mix I've had at some bars is Guinness with Blue Moon. It's actually a good combination to try.

A great Mocha flavored combination is half Rogue Double Chocolate Stout and half Yards Corsica Love Stout. Got a free sample at a bar and it was incredible!

I have heard from some friends in Cali that the new thing to try is to mix a bottle of Zombie Dust with a bottle of Pliny the Elder. Has anyone tried this yet? It seems like a ridiculous idea to me......at first.......but it got me thinking that it might not taste that bad. What do you guys think?

Don't have a pic on hand, but I like Guinness Extra Stout on top of SN Torpedo. Haven't tried too many, though. I like the black+pale combo a lot; best of both worlds IMO and a little different than a prepackaged hoppy black (IP) ale

Not too sure if this is super original or not... But! I recently poured a local stout over some crabbies original ginger beer with delightful results.

Okay, I know I cannot be the only person who does this. I'm a rather smallish woman, so chances of me finishing anything bomber sized or bigger in one day, pretty slim! Because I like to taste a lot of different things, I find myself with a few open bottles lurking in the fridge on a regular basis. So, every now and then the collection of opened, partially drunk bottles gets out of control, so I mix things up a bit, blending a little of this with a little of that. Sometimes it's brilliant, other times it's awful. Tonight, I'm mixing what's left of some BA Boris (which was kind of meh, IMHO) with some Dragon's Milk Reserve with toasted chilies (I liked the chili, but the beer just got lost) I think the combo is much better than either beer by itself. So what have you mixed that was great or awful? Strut your stuff, fellow mix masters!

I don't like mixing different beers, but if I'm doing verticals of a certain beer I will mix a little of all the years together, you get the best parts of every year in one!

This wasn't bad. I call it a Storm Wolf. It makes this Stout a little bit sweeter which helps IMO.

How many open bottles are we talking and how do you prevent them from de-carbonating?

I rarely have the gall to mix two beers, but I have been know to add a dash of rye or bourbon to a hearty stout.

Uh, more than I care to think about! I use those rubber wine stopper things, they work to a point.

That would be good! I frequently mix Founder's Breakfast with the Rubaeus--yum!
