Mixed with the mad elf was so much better. Only saw it one weekend there. Ugh, I need to go back again. I've gone to school like 6 times upon graduating last spring lol I can't help myself

Summer time it's all about the Shandy and Radler mixes. If I'm feeling kind I'll a decent lager like a Yuengling with 12 oz bottle worth of beer and the rest of the pint filled with Simply Lemonade. If I'm feeling cruel, I will break out the Milwaukee's Best Ice and the Simply Lemonade. Non-craft drinkers don't know the difference, but of course the next morning you find out. :grinning:

My only mixing I've done with beers so far is dropping a shot of chocolate cherry vodka in various stouts and porters. More hits than misses with that one, especially with chocolate stouts that didn't live up to the name. The vodka put them over the top.

If you like cherries, Bells Cherry Stout is a good base beer for experimenting. Go to a brew store and buy some cocoa nibs and some vanilla bean. Pour the cherry stout in a mason jar, add 1 tablespoon of cocoa nibs and 1/2 chopped vanilla bean. Seal it up and 24 hours you will have a much better beer. I suspect pressed with coffee grounds would improve the cherry stout as well. You could also mix it with a chocolate stout and get a chocolate cherry stout.

Last night I was doing a side-by-side of my favorite Ohio IPAs (Head Hunter and White Rajah). I decided to mix the last 2.5-3 oz or so of each. It was phenomenal. The best parts of each came out, and it was a tropical fruit/citrus explosion. I will be doing it again.

I haven't tried it yet, but I think a stone go to, and a hop Hunter mixed would be really good
