About 1/4 Founders Rubaeus with the rest being Great Divide Yeti is awesome.

Sure! My fave this time of year is a heavily spiced pumpkin ale 1:1 with an imperial stout.

Here and there. I had a friend who prefers ciders buy one at a bar but it was way too sweet for her. I took some of my Stone IPA and blended in a few ounces. Actually tasted really good after that. I've done a few things that have worked once in awhile. I've also experimented adding cold pressed coffee to non-coffee stouts.

I've still never blended any beer. Someday I'm going to try something.

Bruocsella Grand Cru and 120, I think we settled on 70/30.

Blending a dark and a pale lager is done pretty often in czech pubs. It's called řezané pivo and can be pretty awesome, if both beers are good.

Alright, I know this sounds crazy, but I had a buddy tell me about one from this past weekend. He was at a tasting that had Derivation 2 and Vanilla Rye in the lineup. They all agreed that, while both good, the D2 needed more vanilla and heat while the VR was still a little hot and very strong in the vanilla area. BOOM. They mixed them and he said it was the star of the tasting.

Recently we blended The Bruery's Or Xata with FFF's Backmasking. It surprised the hell out of all of us, and seemed to be a perfect balance of everything.

Once had a Founder's rep mix KBS (75%) and Rubaeus (25%)...it was delicious!
Fat Head's Head Hunter and gin makes an amazeballs martini.

I'm sure that many of you have tried a black and tan or maybe experimented with mixing two different beers before. I once had an Irishman tell me that doing so is sacrilege. I'm sure others out there feel the same way, and I tend to agree. A good beer should be, in itself, a finished product.

Recently, due mostly to my kids school fees, I found myself rather short on funds. This greatly effected my beer budget. I found myself very torn between the thought of buying less of the quality beer that I usually purchase, and risk running out before payday, and buying cheaper beer that I won't enjoy as much. Envisioning my beer fridge with empty shelves was too overwhelming and I opted for the second option. I'm glad that I did.

I ended up bring home a 30 pk of PBR and a 12 pk of Sierra Nevada's Hop Hunter. I like Hop Hunter and thought that I could enjoy one of those in between the mostly tasteless PBR.

I get home and crack a Hop Hunter and enjoy it thoroughly. I've kept a steady supply of it in the fridge all summer to supplement the more expensive options I purchase. Hop Hunter, in my opinion, is a one trick pony- just a big hop bomb without much of a backbone to speak of, enjoyable none the less. Next I crack a can of PBR. There is a major drop off , and I wondered how I was going to get through thirty of them. Then the thought occurred to me to try mixing the two. I poured half a bottle of HH into a 20 oz glass and I dumped a full can of PBR on top of that. What this formed was a pretty damn tasty IPL. The best part was I was only spending $0.74 per 12oz.

Payday came eventually and I resupplied with some Bell's Best Brown and Lagunitas Sucks, but I still found myself craving the IPL mixture that I put together in the week prior.

Bourbon Country Stout and Bourbon Country Barleywine. I got the idea from @dar482 after he posted one of his video reviews. One of the most amazing "beers" I've never tasted.

Hey BAers. I was just browsing my Twitter feed and saw someone posted a photo of ST’s Pumking blended with Crème Brulee. Anyone tried this? Thoughts? Honestly, it sounds pretty damn delicious, but I’ve said that before about other beers…

    Thanks!
