Been seeing some crazy things on this one yet reviews seem relatively timid given it is almost entirely the locals still. I know the history of the brewer and some of his past successes but anyone know if it is worth it or what the going rate has been. I've seen some pretty crazy quotes (Assassin and even more crazy A&T 1:1). I know the bottle count is super low but that doesn't alone make it THAT good. Thoughts? Insight? All greatly appreciated, Cheers!

Wrong brewery... this is brewed by Pizza Boy / Al's of Hampden...

haven't seen much traded yet, so i can't comment more... I do know that one was given away as part of the stout BIF round 3 that I was in by a very generous trader...

Ha, yeah wrong brewery indeed - doing too many things at once and trying to watch MNF. Anyway, thanks for the info!

I personally posted for Assassin but was offering many bottles for it not 1:1. I think it is great but I've not had Assassin so I can't tell you if it is worth it or not. Through a great trading partner I'm getting some De Garde bottles for the Bleurbon and Abascio. Maybe his unbiased opinion might give a better idea of how it is drinking.

Thanks man - Kind of just answered my own question as well - I just took my search to a couple of other sites and the guy I was talking to has been delusional since day one and been told as much. I'm now also convinced the A&T he claimed to have landed for it 1:1 is complete BS. Dude wants a minimum of Assassin and Wild Peach for just that bottle which felt awfully high to me so now I know that it is safe to walk away from the crazy

What were the counts and bottle limits? I couldn't get any bites with my past few offers, including limited release stuff.

Bleurbon Berry was $30 per bottle, 228 bottles, 2 per person.

And for the OP, it is very, very good. Worth seeking out if you can find a trade you're comfortable with. Simply put, there just aren't that many out there that will pop up on here for trade.

I traded a CFH '14 + Saison Bernice for a Bleurbon Berry + Saison du Fermier.
Both sides seemed to be happy.

Wow - looking at these trades, I gotta thank the eminently reasonable PA-Michigander for not raking me over the coals on our trade!

I think most of those trades people responded to ISO threads.

I remember seeing the first trade which was posted on RB. The guy was offering Hommage plus a 375 kriek to get a deal done. The person that took the trade opted for a quantity of beers instead and both parties were happy.

The trade that Mipper posted was on BA. The OP posted almost immediately that it got done. I even commented that is was a very good offer.

My trade for A&T was not posted. I had a list of beers I was looking for and the other person sent me a private message. He said he had A&T which was on my wants but not in my ISO.

No criticism implied in my earlier post; sorry if it came off that way. I wouldn't judge the trades ... cuz who knows what else people throw in as extras, as trades down the line, etc.

    Cheers!

First of all I'm more than happy with the bottles I'm receiving as many of them are big wants of mine. Secondly that's why you establish regular trading partners. You've sent me some great NW beer in the past as well.

First off @PA-Michigander is a great guy.......don't let him tell you otherwise:wink:

Secondly, my trade had expanded and I think both parties will be extremely, and I say EXTREMELY happy. I know I will, and I intend to make my trading partner as happy as I will be. I also think we will be trading more in the future.

All I can say is that great things are afoot at Pizza Boy. They know their Sours and Stouts!!!!!!!!
