I bought a blichman quick carb and I hooked everything up and set the regulator to 17 lbs as suggested and when I turned the Co2 on it didn't create and turbulence after the carb stone as it should. I had beer in the Co2 line, I then cranked the pressure up to 25 lbs to clear the beer, which it did, and after 10 minutes I lost the bubbles. I am thinking either the regulator is bad or the gauge is? I had several leaks but the system gets great reviews.

The regulator controls the pressure. Once the gas reaches equilibrium the regulator will not release any more gas. That is what a regulator does - regulate the flow of gas.

If you increase the pressure, it will release more gas.
    Cheers.
