I have one bottle left dated 6/20/14. The beer guy at Whole Foods Valencia told me that his rep told him that this is the last time he will get Blind Pig. :slight_frown:

I figured that was a type but it's not?! It's not even listed on RR's site.

It's going to be at Stone 18th Anniversary if you're going.

I think bottles are no long being distributed to NorCal too. Brewery only.

I was there on 7/14 and none was on tap at the brewery but was able to get six bottles that were bottled that day. I picked up six more a few days later and BP was back on tap.

Well we got screwed in the San Jose area and never really got Blind Pig bottles anyways, so not much change here.

At the Whole Foods (in Nor Cal) where I get my PtE, the beer guys (who I trust) said that RR was not going to be distributing it anymore. He had not had a shipment of Blind Pig in about 6 weeks and that it had been very irregular prior to that.

My guess is they're making more room on the bottling line for Pliny? Or maybe other stuff that they rarely bottle in that size.

My guess would be other non "-tion" beers. Shadow of a doubt for example? Although they bottled that like 6 months ago.

Only time shall tell, but now I feel bad I skipped on picking up some Blind Pig bottles a few weeks ago. Mostly because my hands were full, I was lazy, and it was a far walk from the counter back to the fridge....like a full 15ft...so far.

On tap at Haven Gastropub for 8 bucks a pour. Ouch!

$7 at OB Noodle House, but dang was it tasting good. Heresy, I'm sure, but it was better than the Nelson I had on tap elsewhere.

Normal price at BW for BP is 6. 5 during happy hour. But with no more bottles I hope this will show up more often at our local pubs. Alpine Nelson is still #1.

Ain't that the truth. There is even a space on teh top rack of my beer fridge where they could have called home at least for a day or two.

So no more bottled Pig in the SoCal area. Will this lead to no more Pliny bottles in the future for the SoCal area? Pig and Pliny on draft only? Isn't Heady Topper cans limited to the Waterbury/Burlington/N Vermont area?

I'd rather seem the start bottling Row 2 again!

I talked with a bartender at RR this week that confirmed BP bottles will no longer be in distro due to demand for bottles at the restaurant.

That's insanely strong demand. They should stop distribution of all their bottled beers.
