Blind Tiger VSK

Last year I got one beer and had a "regular" threaten to knock me out. Not worth it.

 

Yeah, BT events have gone off the deep end for me. I've now resigned myself to going for lunch the day after any event and hoping they have something left on tap.

 

VSK is an event that they do every week

 

Couldn't get in the door last year by 6pm. Ended up going to Murray's Cheese Bar and drinking some Other Half.

 

Don't they do this every Monday? I've popped in a few times and had various Hill Farmsteads and also Lambo Door in recent months and it's been a relatively chill experience.

 

You are correct. My mistake, I apologize. I confused this with their VSK event that they do once a year when every beer on tap is a VSK and the place is a madhouse.

I'm actually here now and there is a sign for the VSK event on Wednesday, November 11th.

 

They just released the list which is pretty insane. Definitely passing on this. Events at BT are awful and this one will be no different.

Last year I got there around 2:45 and there was a wall of people 8 deep to get to the bar with no one moving.

 

Tap list looks fantastic. .but due to the shitshows that come with bt events..I don't know if it's gonna be worth the headache

 

My boycott of BT is still in effect.

 

It will get packed starting around 2. These events are a nightmare. I got to Luvullopalooza in the spring around 2 for the 3pm tappings and it was already a mad house. Can only imagine what Wednesday will be with OG Nilla going on.

 

Not worth the headache in my opinion. I like the bar, but the way it is structurally set-up just requires people piling up on one another in order to get a beer. After you get your beer, there is basically nowhere to move so it's just a bunch of angry people trying to squeeze through one another.

 

Just remembered Wednesday is also Veteran's Day. Could make for even more of a mess with some people having off work and whatnot.

 

I've never been to an event personally but have gone on a few occasions the next day for lunch. While the most sought after beers are clearly gone there has been a good amount of high quality beers from the tapping list still available and hardly anyone in the place.

 

Now THIS ^^ is how I roll. I like the BT, but only when I can sit at the bar and enjoy a beer without people climbing on top of me.

 

Anyone going tomorrow? Still debating it myself.
