Does anyone have an extra seat for brunch at either Les Caves or Block 15 for June 28? Spaced this morning and now they're full. Can bring tasty beers to open as a thank you...

There's an event? Shit. I was gonna come over from Bend that morning before heading back to Seattle.

Guess that's not happening... I just wanted lunch and a beer or two...

I clicked submit at 10:01 and it said it was full. I knew it would sell out quick, but WOW!

I'm also looking for one spot. Walked my dogs at an terrible time this morning and by 10:03 everything was gone.

Distantmatra, apparently the first 40 in line are guaranteed bottles. If 50 reservations went in a minute, I don't think I'd risk driving down from seattle to come back empty handed.

I'm going to be in Bend for a few days (Crux 2nd anniversary) and was going to stop at Block 15 on the way home for lunch. I'm coming home on Sunday, so it's not an issue. Don't care about bottles, just want to stop for lunch and a drink.

I happened to be in Corvallis yesterday and asked in person at les caves and they said it basically sold out instantly. I submitted in 30 seconds and was shut out. Doing the math, though, a lot more than the first 40 in line will get bottles. The smallest bottle is 312 (26 cases) with a 1 bottle limit. So ... 50+40 isn't gonna sell it out.

The 50 is not individuals, it's reservations - there could be 2-6 people per reservation.

What time is the brunch for this? The annual cellar bottle release included brunch, and I think it started around 8:00 or 9:00 (when your number was called, you went in, got your order and then helped yourself to the brunch buffet). If memory serves, they opened the place up to the public in time for the lunch crowd, so assuming the same arrangement takes place for this event, I would think stopping in for lunch wouldn't be a problem. I'd at least give them a call and ask if they're going to be open for lunch that day.

from the email and what's been reported it seems that the last brunch was at 10 and I think there were three sessions. You get maxed allocations of the beers if so desired. At 11 and After the first 40 people in line I guess it's fair game for the public release. So I mean if anyone wants bottles then just get there before the first 20 or so. I know if I didn't get into the brunch I'm gonna do that.

Interesting - the people at Les Caves had no idea what they were talking about. The first person I asked said 'what bottle release'? There were flyers on the front windows about the bottle release.

They posted the sign-up page early? I waited and refreshed right at 10, so it would be a little disappointing if they posted it early.
