Does anyone fortunate enough to have gotten a reservation for Block 15's June 6th release have an extra seat? I'd love to attend. Will provide thank you bottles.

If you cannot get into the brunch, I'm sure there will be bottles after the brunch.

Assuming nattomato has found a spot first, I'd also love to attend. Please let me know if you have an extra seat. Thank you bottles for sure, and gas money, I can also drive if preferred.

    Cheers,
    Nick

Just curious as to what others thought of the beers that were released this past Saturday. I liked the Cassidy a lot, and even thought the peche and cassis were pretty impressive (lots of fruit and considerable sour funk).

Cassidy blew me away. It was my favorite if the day followed by the peche. Cassis tasted to much like vinegar for me.

LOL!! I hated the Cassis. It had a lot of the same characteristics I pick up in many of the fruited Cantillon beers (just not quite as intense). So I figured that must mean that everyone else on the planet would love it.

The cassis band aid smell/flavor was overwhelming. If I had tried that prior to being in line for bottle s I wouldn't have bought any.

I thought the anniversary was solid, and I thought the Cassidy was okay (sweet, honey, flowers) but not really my preference. I can see why it has gotten good reviews though.

I liked the peche a good amount, but frankly the winner for me was probably the cardinal coalesence and really wish they had bottled that.

    My overall power rankings (personal):
    Cardinal Coalesence
    Sticky hands
    Peche
    Anniversary
    Cassidy
    the ice water
    Cassis

My biggest regret this weekend was forgetting to bring my grenade down so I could bring some back with me.

I really thought the Cardinal was a stand out for sure. Cassidy had some very nice complexities with the honey and flower coming through nicely. Anniversary was good. Enjoyed the peche. Sticky Hands blew me away, so much depth for two old school American hops. But when I woke up later that afternoon, I could still taste the acid. Thanks for taking me with @John_M and for sharing the Cassis and Peche you didn't finish. Wish I was able to get more than one Turbulent Consequence though as I was not able to have any at the brewery... nothing to compare it to if I sit on it for awhile.

I liked Cassidy and Peche the best, followed by Anniversary, then Cassis. It was hard to compare to Sticky Hands, apples to oranges but good all around. I had a hard time giving Cassis a fair shake because when I had it, it was considerably warmer on draft than all the other release beers.

I guess I'm weird, but Cardinal Coalescence was my least favorite of the day by a fair margin. I also got a weird coconut thing from Cassidy. Peche was good, but not very peachy. 7th Anniversary was my favorite. Didn't have Sticky Hands.

Interesting commentary here since cassis was a crowd favorite last year. Assuming with the references to cantillon / lambicy elements it will evolve and is a "don't drink it now" bottle?
