I think we got what you were talking about. I don't think anyone knows a real answer to your ?. I mean some people line up hours before. The problem is when some folks line up, then about 10 minutes before you can grab beer 10 friends show up.

I'm still looking as well. But need two. All three beers are currently on tap though. Tasting fantastic!

Stopped by today for lunch. Was told they still have a decent supply of figgy puddin and Black Raspberry bottles, in case anyone is still looking for some.

Wow, I'm surprised giving thanks sold out before Framboise Black.

After tasting both Framboise Black and Giving Thanks.... I absolutely Loved Giving Thanks. The description did not do it justice.

Really enjoyed all three, all wildly different and well-executed.

If I can get them, how many more would you like Kevin?

I'll be up that way pretty frequently over the holidays...

This really suprises me. Is it possible the person telling you this was wrong? When I went through the line I was told they were on their last case of Framboise. Considering they said they "lost half their barrels" due to flooding that seems wild there's more.

I thought all three were great. Figgy, imho, didn't drink well side by side with Framboise or Giving Thanks though. Framboise was sweet and fruity ... switching to Giving Thanks was easy since it was boozy enough and sweet enough with the dubbels / strong ales ase a base that you could still appreciate it. I found that switching to Figgy from Framboise, you couldn't taste the figs up front or the subtle spices ... just a sort of burnt and bitter flavor from molasses, emphasized by coming off the sweetness. Switching from Giving Thanks to Figgy also sort of overwhelmed the figs and spice since it was so brandy / rum forward. I went from Les Caves to the brewery and had a second taster of Figgy and enjoyed the hell out of it on its own though; seemed more complex than previous years to me.

Just my 2 cents as I heard a lot of folks expressing disappointment. I bet revisiting out of the bottle it will be a lot more enjoyable.

Well, I'm positive they had bottles of FP, because I grabbed one. I can't verify the framboise, as after trying it on tap, I wasn't in love with it. So I didn't ask for one.

I would add that something fairly similar happened at the cellar brunch release back in Septmeber. There was a 3 bottle purchase limit for bottles of the 2014 brunch blend, and I know when I left, I was told they were out of pretty much everything. Yet a couple weeks later, what should show up at 16 tons, but bottles of the 2014 brunch blend.

The bartender (big guy with long blond hair - Pat?) indicated that the brewer made a fairly decent amount of both beers for a change, so for once they could offer bottles to customers even after the release event. I was very pleasantly surprised to hear that... now I wish I would have bought more of the FP while I was there.

I'll see what I can do. I'll probably be back up that way on Friday, and will stop in then to see if I can grab a bottle for you.

That's really cool if "Pat?" was right. I know I was there for the SE release and was told by three people (cuz they were right there) that FB was going to be pretty ltd. Either way I'm glad that those who wanted everything was able to get it on release day.

Now I wonder if Super Nebula will be the next big one, and hopefully everyone will be able to get it.

From what Nick said on Saturday, Super Nebula will be next, plus some other new beer that I can't remember much about, and he is hoping Kriek will be ready by then too. I wonder if they are going to stick with the 500 mL bottles like they did with Figgy and Giving Thanks?
