I'm, as we all must, stewing about what types of beers I plan to brew. I think I'd be a good husband if I made a brew at some point, maybe within the next few batches, for the wife. She's not a craft kinda girl, more inline with the stereotypes. Therefore, I think she'd enjoy a fruit flavored blonde. Any one have success adding a puree? Thinking maybe cherries, for the locals could make my own with some Door County cherries in the fall, or maybe an apricot. I know there's a similar thread about purees, but felt it be a hijack to chime in.

I've done a Belgian Blonde using fresh peaches before. Very drinkable and refreshing, a lot of peach flavor. Was thinking of doing some next month using puree since peaches are not in season yet. Was planning on using a can of puree for a 5 gallon batch, not sure if this will be enough.

Thanks Matt, I was leaning towards a Belgian Blonde. I really like the esters of the Belgian yeast. I also could see how the peaches would be a complimentary flavor.

I've done a Belgian blonde with raspberry extract several times. It was great. It's one of the beers I wish I always had around in summer.
