    Hits, misses? ... I don't think of bière de garde as being something to 'garder' too, too long, but the description of No. 1 is intriguing. Who's had? Otherwise, I can't quibble, but I don't personally know well Pannepot spice character will hold up. However I *will* know when I can get around to a vertical I've been gathering for 4 years now...

    BFM Bon Chien is fantastic with age on it (they call it a biere de garde as that is the style of the base beer before aging in barrels, but it is basically a "sour").

    Not sure why they call Pannepot a "new world homage", considering it is made by de Struise, a Belgian brewery.
