I live in Bloomington and this wasn't highly publicized locally so I thought I would throw it out there.

6 of the local breweries are offering a deal where once you have one beer at each place you get a rotating prize. First up is a beer glass. The second place we went to on Saturday we were talking to a guy who said he had been to every brewery in town that day and Salt Creek was his last stop. I asked him if he was doing the Ale Trail and he had no clue what I was talking about so even the brew pubs aren't mentioning it. Our server at Upland had no idea.

Saturday was the first day, and between the six of us we only distributed the materials on Friday. So, it's going to take a little time for all of the knowledge to get out there about the program.

Also, as a server it's hard to take the time to explain the Ale Trail to everyone in detail and still be able to handle the rest of your tables. The plan is to get posters about the Trail mounted in each location.

The program runs indefinitely, and there is a six month completion deadline once you start a passport. So if a few places were clueless over the weekend, you should have plenty of time to complete. If you ask about the program someone should be able to find a manager that at least knows what's going on right now until the knowledge gets spread.

    Please forgive the early hiccups.
