I'm in the process of setting up a semi-formalized bottle sharing group here in Bloomington IL. My initial goal is to meet either every month or every other month, depending on the level of interest, number of participants, etc... Each bottle share will have a theme of some sort, whether it be a certain style, brewery, region, etc... These will be held at a public location, not at someone's house. To participate, each person will need to provide beer from the desired list of beers, and somewhere between $10-$20 which will go to our host to cover appetizers, tips for the waitress, etc... in exchange for letting us use a private space. I have a small group already interested but looking for new people that are interested. Our first is being planned for Tuesday January 7th at 7pm. The theme is Bourbon County Variants. We have several of the beers covered but a couple of us can switch around which variant we bring etc... If you have any interest please message me.
