heading to Bloomington on Friday and looking for the better bottle shops in the area. I will have vehicle access, but most likely not a ton of time to venture more than 30-45 min out of the immediate area. Potential for time Tuesday before 1pm for one Indianapolis stop before flight out. I know where to drink draft while in town - looking for off-premises sales to take home. Coming from PDX so I'm looking for non west coast beers (new glarus, founders, bells, 3 floyds, etc) Potential for in person bottle trade as well should interest present itself. Suggestions?
Check out sahara mart on 3rd St by the mall, I'd say that's the best option in town. The big red downtown (college and 8th) is another good option but their limited stuff gets swooped more quickly. The upland brewpub or production facility also might have some sours for sale to go. Enjoy your trip! Bloomington is a special place. Also go hoosiers, beat the bucs!
I live in Bloomington and 3rd Street Sahara Mart is the best place to go to. Pretty sure FBS just showed up in town too. No New Glarus and 3 Floyds is hit or miss. Definitely get some Upland Coastbuster at the brewpub.
Was in Upland on Friday for lunch. They still had bottles of Kiwi and Cherry, at least. Sahara Mart hands down for bottle shop.
