This will be long but necessary for scope and content: Most likely old hat to many but since my wife and I recently relocated back home to North Mississippi, Tupelo to be specific, after a 9 year multi state adventure, we have truly enjoyed Blue Canoe's food and beers. Nearly 10 years ago when we left Tupelo was pretty much devoid of any kind of local flavor, local content, local anything that wasn't chain related. Really sad. My wife and I are both Ole Miss grads and love Oxford obviously. One of the things that we loved so much about our college town was the enormous local flavor. Fast forward to now and how blown away we are with the Revival of sorts Tupelo has had. Blue Canoe is tops on that list. Best wall of taps by far in the area. Great food and the atmosphere is very cozy and welcoming to the point I had to make sure we hadn't walked through a wormhole at the door. lol. Never would have dreamed it possible for Tupelo to have, much less support, this kind of place. I'm so thankful that the owner had enough vision to make it happen and I hope that others will continue to support this place. If you haven't been and are in the Tupelo area or just passing through Blue Canoe is a must stop.
I really bring nothing to this conversation as I've only been to Tupelo once for a few days due to wrok. But yeah, totally agree with you on Blue Canoe. I enjoyed the food and the beer selection. Since this was a couple years ago, I'm sure the selection has only gotten better.
Blue Canoe is great. We try to catch it on our trips further South. You deserve an awesome place like this in the birthplace of the king!
