I just opened a email from Blue Point Brewing here on Long Island and read that they will be offering their Entitlement Porter for sale in 22oz bottles on Election Day (November 6th). The beer is based on the White House recipie without the honey...

The email also mentioned that Toxic Sludge will be available in 16oz cans the 1st week of November

Yeah I saw that, too. Haven't had Toxic Sludge yet, will it be worth seeking out pounders?

I ask just because I really am not sold on most Black IPAs, yet. My favorite so far was Stone 15th, which was like a big, thick, chocolatey imperial stout with crazy, juicy citrus hops.

I got a growler of Toxic Sludge once and a buddy and I crushed it in a night. If you like Black Ales than I'd say it'd be worth getting.

No disrespect to it, but it's not nearly as good as Stone 15 in my opinion.

It's full of roasted malt flavor with citrusy hops. I enjoy Toxic Sludge a lot and I look forward to the cans.

I loved Toxic Sludge when I had it last year on draft over at the brewery and cannot be more excited to get them 16 ounce cans in!
Now if only they'd bottle that tasty Sour Cherry Stout of theirs. Mmm.

After Hurricane Sandy I'm not sure I'll be getting to go to Blue Point Brewery on Tuesday :slight_frown:
We still don't have power/internet (I'm posting this from work) and I can't justify using the gas to get out there (gas is precious here on Long Island).
Anyone who gets to go, have fun and snag me a bottle if you can, cheers!

I think this is going to make it to shops as well right? I saw a sign at my shop on Friday, but didn't read it too well. I am in the same boat as JoeyBeerBelly, not enough gas to waste it on a trip out there, but can easily hit my local shop before watching election coverage tomorrow night.

same boat buddy. day 8 no power. living and working from my mum's place...living with my wife, kid and in-laws here and losing my mind quickly. was hoping to be at blue point today and then even captain lawrence, but alas, stuck out of my local town and had to vote displaced and could only vote for pres and senate and not the uber important local elections.

You're welcome to sneak up to CT/NY for an eve of drinks if you can find the time. We have gas here with no lines.

Toxic Sludge cans have been slightly delayed. They should be in stores mid to end of November. Cheers!
