I'm drinking a Tres Blueberry Stout by Dark Horse, and as much as I'm enjoying it, I can't imagine how great this would be as an Imperial Stout, to bring out some more roastiness and maybe get a bit more sourness from blueberries. Well, the way I'm thinking it up in my head sounds good, anyway.

Are there any blueberry or other fruit-infused Imperial Stouts out there that aren't brewery only releases or the like?

My blueberry nightmare. I have a bottle I've never drank so I can't say how good it is.

I've heard that's more of a sour than an imperial stout really, might not exactly be what the OP is looking for.

Dark horses, Tres Blueberry stout is very Delicious. Its not an imperial stout. but its very very good. It has a very strong blueberry taste.

I don't know any blueberry stouts, but Backyard Rye is made with a buncha berries and is godly. Not easy to get, though, unfortunately.

I was pondering a few mornings ago and surmised that the inspiration for these blueberry stouts was a blueberry muffin with a dark cup of coffee.

I could barely pick up the blueberry when I had a few bottles of Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout. I don't know if I would have zeroed in on the blueberry if it didn't say what it was on the label. I liked what I could taste.

this is something that jesterking and alamanc do very well. both funk metal and bourbon barrel porter draw a fine line between roasty and sour, and they are surprisingly delicious!

Honestly, the blueberry is only aromatic within the first few sips. Afterwards it's pretty much gone. If yours was a month or two old it's possible that nothing was left.

Blueberry stouts always sound so good, but I end up choking them down everytime.. they're just not for me.. Buffalo Bill's Blueberry Oatmeal Stout might be the grossest beer I've ever had.. I didn't like Dark Horse Tres either, but it was a tad better..

Shipyard crushes the Dark Horse. I can't believe I'm even saying this because Shipyard misses everytime! The Smashed Blueberry is pretty damn good. I still think others could do it much better (Founders, Ithaca, Maine Beer Co, many, many others! LOL!), but it's the best I've had in this unique entry.

It's good... If you love balsamic vinegar. That is all it tastes like. Personally one of the worst things I've ever had.
