Seriously? We can't get a single bottle in DFW and yall got more... I hate our distribution.

Yall will get Ballast Point before we even sniff at an empty bottle of Rye on Rye.

 I hate this mad face btw

How many bottles would you like? I may be headed through DFW at the end of April and would happily bring some down to you.

DFW will be getting their fair share and the delay in distro is on me. Due to our current expansion efforts I had to move the truck back to restock on some other core brands I was out of.

The price increase at Gabriel's isn't their fault, the wholesaler had the item priced wrong and after a few years finally realized their mistake and raised the price to everyone. Boulevard Smokestacks have two price tiers. The sixth glass, double wide, long strange trip, tank 7 and seasonals (chocolate ale) retail for $8.99 at Spec's. The Limited Release items, Saison-Brett, BBQ and Rye on Rye retail for $13.99 simply because they cost a hell of a lot more. Boulevard will have a higher third price point for Smokestack when they release Love Child #2 later this year, expect a $16 to 17.99 for that one.

Fair enough. Still doesn't explain why they typically have higher prices than other local stores.

Thanks for the scoop about Love Child #2. Sounds interesting to say the least.

I shop there, HEB and Central Market. They are higher on some stuff, lower on others. CM is generally cheaper though, but they dont get quite the volume/selection. Gabriels always have the newest stuff first in my experience.

I buy in bulk whenever I am in SA or Austin, so a dollar saved here and there makes a huge difference. The beer I tend to care about is almost always higher. I have other problems with the store that I will not go into here. The only reason I even stop there is for glassware.

The distribution of this beer has been very strange. 1st SA/Austin/Houston get it 2 weeks later it creeps in slowly to DFW at very select places outside of Dallas. Poor Specs Dallas keeps being told by Andrews "next week" for the past 3 weeks... What really happened to our Rye on Rye?

Just normal moves we had to do with respect to beer stock and truck space during our expansion. I had to make sure I kept core brands in stock and the trucks were filling with beer I needed to maintain the demands of the markets. Just issues of growing pains until our new tank farm is up this month. Rye on Rye is currently hitting retail to area accounts with their normal weekly scheduled deliveries.

Hall's in Carrollton (DFW) had some as of last week. Not sure how much, I only got one. Was picking up some Boxer's Revenge and happened to see it!

Plenty Of Rye on Rye can be found at Central Market Westgate (South) ATX. Priced at $11.99. Ask for it at the desk in the back of the department. Word.
