Going to be in Boca Raton aug 22-29 and never been to the area. Planning on stopping at funky budda but what other breweries are must hits? What are some good tap rooms to hit up and bottle shops? Any good events going that week in the area? Any help/info would be appreciated. Also just posted a in person ft/iso post if anybody is interestied in some chi/nw indiana stuff shoot me a msg
Funky Buddha lounge is in East Boca and the brewery is in Oakland Park, near Ft Lauderdale, about 30 minutes away. Saltwater brewery is in Delray Beach, just West of I95 on Atlantic (few minutes from Boca). About 15 minutes north in Boynton Beach, Due South and Copperpoint brewery are both just off I95. Check out the brewery's Facebook pages/websites. Total Wine and ABC both have Boca locations where you'll find Cigar City shelfies and may find Funky Buddha Last Snow (releases 8/18 at the brewery). Tap 42 has a new location in Boca (original is in Ft Lauderdale). They usually have Funky Buddha,Cigar City and Due South beers on tap. Lion and Eagle Pub in East Boca also has a varied tap list. Brass Tap has a few locations...Coral Springs is probably the closest to Boca. They do growler fills and on Wednesday, they're 1/2 price. If you venture to Ft Lauderdale there are lots more choices too. Cheers!
The Brass Tap in Boyton Beach is closer. Also, I would recommend the Coffee District in Downtown Delray Beach and the Sybarite Pig on the west side of Boca. Both are owned by beer geeks who always have great tap lists and good food (Sybarite Pig's Food is seriously good).
