Looking for decent bocks and Dopplebocks available year round in Michigan. One of my favorite styles. I could drink like 20 of them bock to bock.

Wiehenstephaner Korbinian is great, inexpensive and widely available in Michigan. There's also Ayinger Celebrator and Spaten Optimator.

As far as bocks, Aldi has one now called Brecken Bock which seems to have replaced Broegel Bock. Anyone know why they did this? Shiner of course and Huber bock.

Brecken Bock from Aldi/Octopi I drank a bottle.
A Broegel Bock/Shiner type of bock. lite duty, toasted bread, caramel, touch of floral hops. A ok hot weather bock. Nothing great or bad. Clean beer. No off flavors. Looks good

I just tried it. It was good but it was less sweet and less full flavored than I expected. Reminded me a bit of a Euro lager only toastier. I think I prefer Shiner.

If you're ever in Ann Arbor be sure to hit up Wolverine State Brewing. They do only lagers so it's likely they'll have a couple different bocks. Either way, if Bock is your favorite you're sure to vibe with what they do.

I just checked their website and it looks like they don't have any bocks available right now. Strange since they do have a Maibock listed as one of the beers they have brewed and you'd think this would be a good time to brew a batch, it being May and all.

Drinking blackrocks bock right now. It's delightful.
Likely my favorite beer of all time. Got a 4pack for my birthday last year.

Finding a something that isn't just seasonal would be a dream. Will definitely try Optimator and Korbinian.
I have just found out about weizenbocks and weizeneisbocks such as Schneider Aventinus.
Of course I also found out about eisbocks but apparently they are much rarer than their wheat cousins

Bock and their stronger cousins are very underrated and not given fair attention imo. Especially in the states.

If you ever cross the state line into Ohio get Troegs troegenator. It's a year round award winning beer.
