Well the good news is that it is **** and span. Your wife is somewhat happy in that she has a clean stove top. You are really happy since you didn’t have to buy a new stove!

    Cheers!

Thanks for sharing but am I reading this wrong? It suggest to use "Use two to four drops per 400ml". So a 5 Gallon batch is about 18927 ml. Because of this you would have to put 47 - 94 drops if using this per the suggested amount.

    I appoligize for being unclear.

I use about 1/2 tsp for 6.5 gallon boil once it begins boiling/foaming and that last the entire boil.

I don't even measure anymore. I just squeeze what I would estimate to be 1/2 tsp.

Turn the burner OFF when hot break starts...then throttle the burner (anything but high on an electric) Never brew on quaaludes : )

As far as the damage already done...elbow grease and a multitude of cleaners. Flowers not a bad idea also.

Its clean already and 3020 sandpaper works best using a wet sanding type method. My wife is not your normal stereotype of a female, so flowers are nice but just not really her thing. She would be happier with me showing up with an action/horror movie, craft beer or vodka and a promise that we are not going out (god I am lucky)...

Cool thanks for sharing, I will have to pick up some of this stuff--even thought I brew outside now. Dont want a boil over on the concrete in the driveway.

I also brew outside on concrete. I have my spot marked(stained). No matter how careful I am I always spill or drip a little.

as the proto-typical homebrewer, i can say with confidence that i am no authority on women.

but i know chicks dig flowers. you won't be sorry. buy them at the same time you show up with a nice cajun cooker and 7 gal brewpot.
    Cheers.

I use an arm and hammer bleach based spray cleaner with a scotch brite sponge. Works wonders when i let it sit on the crud for a while!
