So there are some new breweries since I was last in town. Any info on which one's I should check out? Any particular beers or menu items I should try? p.s. not everything needs to be Denver/Colorado related in this forum lol.
lol 10 Barrel is the only suggestion. turns out i'm pretty close to slanted rock. any thoughts boise area peeps?
Woodland Empire is doing pretty good work.... Also Prefunk is literally 30 feet away when you get done at Woodland. Cloud 9 in the Northend is brewing, but can't seemingly keep up with demand... It is TINY but they do have other brewery beers available too. I like their food quite a bit. Not a big fan of Slanted Rock.... I have had most of their beers and they are pretty standard but nothing I really seek out. I think Edge is doing pretty okay, but seem to have growing pains IMO... None of my friends like them, I think they are being too critical. Food is good, but expensive for what it is. Bogus should be open in the next month or two. Crooked Fence has 3 different locations now. They are on my personal shit-list. I bought 6x bottles of the BA Sins of our Father a while back. All were horribly infected. I took 3x unopened bottles back to the Chinden location and some asshole tried to tell me that they were NOT infected. Barrel aged beers are not supposed to taste like cherry flavored battery acid.... Absolutely one of the WORST infected beers I have ever had and ultimately I was out more than $70 for the 6x bottles. I am not happy about it and they haven't gotten a single dollar of mine since. That said, 10 Barrel is killing it across the board... Best beer, best food.
