Headed to Boise for a few days in December for an event at BSU, staying in a hotel downtown and I don't know much about the beer there (other than Woodland Empire), or really anything else for that matter.

How does a single female spend a few days there?

PreFunk and Woodland are my two favorite places in downtown.

Bittercreek has IMO the best taplist and they have pretty good food.

I would consider going to Bar Gernika and trying some Basque food, they also have a small but well curated tap and bottle list.

Places with the best bottle selections are all outside the downtown corridor.... Boise COOP is closest and still walkable though. HomebrewStuff and Brewers Haven have a great bottle selection, but you'll need to drive or get a ride. Whole Foods is pretty close.

Uber makes it super easy to get around and downtown Boise is super walkable.

I'll try to add more things to this as I think of them.

Also please feel free to ask direct questions and I'll give my best advice.

    Cheers, Toby.

Boise hosted the RateBeer Summer Gathering this previous summer.

Here is the bid that we put in.... It should give some decent ideas too.

A bit dated, but there are a number of options in our 2014 beer travel guide.
