Another infection from the guys at Bolero Snort. At least this time they're admitting to it, I guess.

TL;DR : Some bottles are infected. They don't have a plan on how to make it up to people. Email them only if you have a bad bottle.

What else was infected from them? I've had most of their releases and don't recall ever hearing this.

Honestly, I don't even remember what it was. They had some coconut BA beer that got infected. And the other one I think was their BA black lager? They didn't own up to either of them. Played them off like it was intentional.

Bolero is the worst. Everything I've had from them had been garbage

Ah yes it was the rum coconut black lager released through Gary's. It was disgusting and they tried to say it was supposed to be tart

Yeah there was something else too though. There's a thread on here that mentioned it. I'll see if I can't dig it up

Their Rotatabull was pretty killer at least.

Yea, I haven't ever really had a good beer from them, I stopped buying their beers after that BA 6% coconut beer last year.

I actually buy them regularly, and ive been impressed with their IPAs. Getting a lot better compared to last year. under 6$ for a 22oz is a good price

I dont think their BA stuff is up to par with most other though. Their BA Bergen county that came out on black friday was way off on the mouthfeel. If youre going to pay homage to BCBS, it should try to be similar.

I haven't had them much since I'm in Central NJ and they aren't in stock here much but I bought three bombers of their RotataBull this Autumn. Well worth a drink.

This whole ordeal is infuriating. I had a bad bottle a couple weeks ago and tossed the empty bottle that night. Now they are saying they will make it right only if you have the bottle #. And it doesn't seem very likely that they really intend on making it right.

That's an awful way to do business.

Only bought one beer from them and it was a gusher, had to drain pour the entire bottle. At $6 it didn't bother me too much, but I won't buy their beer again. Pretty sure it was a smoked brown ale with coffee if anyone had similar issues.

Just out of curiosity, have you reached out to them and they told you this or were you pulling info stated in the the blog post?

I have all 4 of that series sitting home. This was going to be my last try with their beer as it hasn't been to impressive.

I really didn't care for them much either. But then I tried their Variabull 001. A 22oz IPA for $6 was worth a shot. And it blew my mind. The rest of their bomber releases have all been really solid, but anyone doubting Bolero Snort MUST try their Rotatabull. It's fantastic.

I hope they make right by this error though. They have potential and their last few hoppy bombers have really changed my opinion of them. Great stuff.

The bottle of Razbullied Rye I had from them over the summer was bad. I went on a limb when I recently bought Moovember and to my surprise it was one of the best milk stouts I've ever had. Perhaps best to stick to their more basic beers rather than their barrel aged, wild, and more complex styles.

Their bombers have been great. Rotateabull, Variables, moovember, and Bravehorn all impressed me.

I emailed them with a picture of my bottle number and have yet to get a response.
