Heading to Bologna in a couple of weeks. We'll be staying near Bologna Centrale so looking for some great beer rec's nearby. Also looking for some late night food suggestions (getting into Bologna around 10pm on a Monday) ... quality of food more important than beer selection.

    Cheers!

Not ever been to Bologna, but I do know that BrewDog have a bar there, it's on via San Valentino. Not sure if that's any help.

    For the reference of others:

There are a couple bottle shops that usually have cantillon. Beer for Bunnies is in the center on Via Pratello and then theres Astral Beers which is out of the center, by the stadium, but it has a better selection.
There are two entirely craft bars that have had cantillon and other sours on tap from time to time: Harvest Pub just outside the center and Green River(about 12 taps) on Via Petroni.
Theres also a BrewDog pub near Via Pratello(a good street for nightlife and good beers) which also has a bottle shop.

La Tana del Luppolo has a great atmosphere and is a great place for one or two, with about six rotating taps and some good bottles. Piazza Manfredi Azzarita, 5, 40126 Bologna

Il Santo Bevitore has some decent stuff to offer as well. No crazy selection, but the owners are really friendly and accommodating and always have something cool worth trying out. Via Galliera, 42.

One of the Irish pubs, The Celtric Druid, has a couple of local craft taps as well as some good bottles alongside the standard Irish pub fare.

Ahh and then there's Birra Cerqua, a legit brewpub that opened about two years ago in the center. It's tiny, but the guys are great and the beers are, while nothing to rave over, pretty good. I think their porter is pretty solid. They make a blanche fermented with a sourdough yeast starter, which is something a little different.
