I might be off on that case number. 52 for some area, maybe more than MN

Let my finger do the walking today, for something that has supposedly been sitting at Hohensteins for weeks, the "timed release" has been poorly orchestrated. Majority of places seem to be getting it over the course of the next few days.

I was told MN got roughly 20 cases, everywhere that has had it is limit 1. Abyss also showed up today

I wish there was even a slight chance that it will still be on tap when I get back home on Wednesday.

Yup. I had two 4 ounce pours - the first was OK, the second was stellar. Odd. Perhaps all the taste is settling to the bottom of the keg. Not a big crowd, maybe 'cause it was WAY over in St. Paul...

I am surprised to hear that the crowd wasn't huge. I am going to stop by on Wednesday with the hopes it is still there. If it's not, they still make a mean pizza!

I got over there around 5:30 and was able to get a table immediately. When we left about an hour later, there was a line a few people deep waiting. It was a good BA barley wine, but I just had King Henry on Friday and Bolt is not in that category.

It will be interesting to see what a year can do to bolt cutter. I think KH is a pretty high bar for any style of beer.

I actually found more Bolt Cutter today than Abyss, I was pretty shocked.

Got there at 6:45, was told a 30 to 40 minute wait for a table (I was with my family). After about 20 minutes I decided to go ahead and order a beer - and was told that it had kicked 5 minutes prior.

    Argggh.

Had a couple glasses around 5. Its pretty hot but nothing I can't handle. Lots of citrus up front. I thought it was pretty good.

Better be more than pretty good for $25 a bottle.

How does it compare to CW BBBW, which I still see sitting on the shelves?
