Sadly I am not around the cities as this rolls out, but would love to try it. Anyone that gets an extra, BM me. Perhaps we can work out a trade, or simple Beer Advocacy would be appreciated. Cheers!

Sorry. Didn't mean to create a flurry of questions. No hiding. I saw it a week or two ago at a place called B K Discount liquors in Eagan off Diffley and Johnny Cake (near 35E). I'd call first to find out how much is left (hopefully it is still there). The place doesn't have a ton of craft but I think it is under new ownership and I just happened to wander in there and see it. No idea how it has lasted this long.

I'm still genuinely interested in hearing from the folks that have had bolt cutter and how it compares to CW BBBW.

Both Saint Anthony Village Wine and Sprits locations are sold out of Bolt cutter. Good thing I called first and saved a trip!

I think Bolt Cutter is hoppier and more boozy than CW BBBW. Though that will change with some age. BBBW is almost as good as Bolt Cutter.

I loved Bolt Cutter when I had it on Monday, but I think the dry-hopping and maple barrel aging threw it a little off balance - kind of like 2009 Nemesis.I will say that the 15% ABV was well hidden, with very little heat.

For my money, right now, CW BBBW is a better example of the style. However, with some time, I think Bolt Cutter could be amazing - right now it's just good.

I'd agree with Herman except the part where Bolt Cutter is better.

It does taste a lot like CW BBBW when it's young, though. The major difference I noted with Bolt Cutter is that it's significantly sweeter, which I assume is the maple syrup aging. If it ages as well as CW BBBW does, I'll have wished I bought more than one bottle.

Literally just picked up 1 of the last 2 bottles at Top Ten in Woodbury.

If anyone is looking, there might still be 1 left!

If anyone in the TC is absolutely desperate for this, I might be able to grab a couple bottles in in DSM before heading back up to the Cities. Shoot me a message today or tomorrow...

I saw a Bolt Cutter on the shelves at the Cellars in Plymouth tonight. I left it since I have all that I want. Anyone interested may want to call before making the trip.

I know this might not be very helpful, but it is still all over Des Moines.

I don't ever go to Iowa, but I know some people that do so that may be helpful.
