Lucky... They get everything and NO ONE EVER goes for the beer. That's where I scooped a case BCBS last year.

WF Bowery has it in, just got a bottle... not sure how many left though.

They do, but it is tough to get answers on the phones some times. I usually just go to Bowery though since they have more of a selection.

WF Bowery and Top Hops both have bottles, limit 1, ~$28 after tax.

    Sold out yesterday

So weird, CBS was only $26 at Bierkraft but Bolt Cutter is $30? Didn't think this was that hyped, although even Firestone Walker XV was $30 there. I don't get their pricing, aside from the "over" part.

And $33 at Eagle makes the $33 BCBS 4 packs a relative bargain, $1.50 per oz. of Bolt Cutter and not even $.70 per oz. for BCBS.

Picked up bottles in the last 15 minutes at both WF Bowery and Top Hops. New Beer said they hadn't gotten it in.

Yeah new beer always says they haven't gotten it yet for all special releases even though they're one of the largest beer stores in the city. Theyre sketchy over there. Unless you're on their list it's best to avoid them for special releases. I avoid them altogether because of their sketchiness.

Yeah, they pulled something similar with KBS this year, where they told me they hadn't gotten it in, but I read about other BAs buying it there the same day. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with holding limited release stuff for your regulars, but don't insult my intelligence. Tell me it's sold out, or it's all spoken for or something.

Anyone think WF Chelsea still has any? Will tell co-worker looking for one to head down.

My sister grabbed a bottle for me at Bierkraft, said it was one of their last three bottles. Hope its worth the $30

Just picked up what looked like the last bottle at my local place in Queens. Was going to pass on it, since after CBS all of the stores charge the same price for beers that aren't on the same level or caliber as far as producing the beer goes. But I figured if my buddy in LI doesn't get any, we could go half on it. Sometimes we're a little spoiled in the city with the amount we get compared to other areas.

Was able to score a bottle last night at the Founder's tasting @ A&R (Seaford, Long Island) for $22. They actually cracked open a few bottles of the Bolt Cutter for sampling, which was very cool. Tasting quite nice in it's young age with flavor's of toffee, carmel & maple with a somewhat dry, hoppy finish. I'll be drinking it again tonight (a friends bottle) and likely sit on mine for at least a good 6 months before trying it again.

My buddy was at the A&R event last night too, said it good stuff and he doesn't really care for barley wines

Strange that the prices vary at different WFs in NYC. I always thought it would be the same.
