For the person that asked about a comparison to KH... I think KH was an absolute 5, perfection in a bottle.

Read my review on BC, it's not that awesome. Unfortunately.

effyeaAB - you may be right - I have not tasted my bottle yet. I was not fond at the price of the last Backstage release - Frangelic Brown even though I like hazelnut beers. On the other hand, you have to admit your review is an outlier right now - many strong reviews are also coming in. But to each their own of course - maybe good that you did not care for it - it's expensive so you'll be able to buy more beer you prefer - Cheers!

Too rich for my blood, gonna settle for tastes of a friend's bottle this time.

I know stated that price was a point of contention for me, it is something that although it had its bearing in my judgement it wasn't that big of a deal in my actual review.

I'm not gonna say I'm glad I didn't like it but I honestly think people might be reviewing based on hype. I think Founders is the best brewery in America but this beer just didn't do it for me at all.

Just picked up a bottle at Brooklyn Fare for $23. They have about a 1/2 dozen left.

Never had this. Curious to see if it lives up to the hype.

Anyone else a member at the Park Slope Food Coop? Just got a bottle for $18.66. There's a ton still left.
