I just did a couple trades and I got 2x Pink wax Bomb! 2x Blue wax Bomb! and 1 Pirate Bomb! all of which had rusted caps under the wax. Blue was the most offensive on the taste and Pirate was still really good but I just thought I would see if anyone else has had that problem or if i just got really old batches??
    Cheers,
    Kevin

Had noticeable rust on a Prairie Vanilla noir the other day. I have drank lots of different batches of Bomb but lucky for me they typically don't come with wax since I live in AR and they are required by law to sell them in multipes of more than 3. But yes it's noticeable but haven't had noticed any off flavors.

the most recent bomb! batch is orange, the one before that was pink. so, not that old.

pink got here like, november/december, iirc.

I just opened two of a bunch of red wax ones Bombs! i have and didn't notice any rust on those. Have to check the blue wax ones or take a closer look. Beer was absolutely dynomite though.

I popped my orange wax bomb! on opening day for baseball, no rust. I still have one left, ill report back if it happens, after aging 6 months.

I've noticed rust on at least one bottle of almost all of Prairie's waxed beers - no matter the age. The worst offender was actually a non-waxed bottle, Standard, I had a few weeks ago. The rust on all of the bottles was limited to the outside and didn't (seem to) affect the taste. Still, it seems Prairie has a QC issue when it comes to bottling. Won't prevent me from snapping up pretty much anything they put out though...

Opened a Pirate Bomb a couple nights ago with rust. I wonder if their wax holds an unusual amount of moisture or something.

Rust on Vanilla Noir, beer was skunked.
