Can anyone recommend a good pils that I would call "bone dry," crystal clear, no haze, light yellow, without that creamy mouthfeel in American craft pilsners, low on malt, with (and here I'm getting pretty subjective), a hard, sharp flavor? (Or should I be looking into some kind of ale -- I just remember having a good pils once that matched these specs).

I posted on the other thread, but I guess it got nuked. You're looking for German pils, not Czech pils, so look for Jever, Wurzburger, Trumer, Victory Prima Pils, Stoutds Pils and Troegs Sunshine.

Good list. Add Flensburger if you can find it.

Also, my apologies for posting the same thing in two different threads. Still a little unfamiliar with the site and etiquette. Originally posted on "Feedback and Help," then realized this forum was the right place.

This is a great thread, I love Pils that fit the characteristics you described. I'm going to try and pick some of these suggestions up myself!

I don't know if Alpirsbacher makes its way to the US, but I recently had one of their Pils and it was delicious.

Prima is the hoppiest and driest I've had in a long, long time, maybe ever.

    For imports, Jever and Trumer.
For native beers, I'm always surprised how dry Nomad is. Especially when they call it a Bohemian Pils.
