I don't think we were doing growlers. I say "were" because I just walked through the bar on my way out to the bottle shop and heard the bar tender tell someone that the keg just blew. :slight_frown:

Never fear though, we received 2 kegs from this batch and should hopefully be putting the other one on in the next week or so. I'll try to remember to update this thread when we put it back on...

Wow, that's a great price. Apex has it on as well, but it's $5/6 oz, to no one's surprise.

just wondering why it is that rpm usually gets the glory on the ipa lists, but hop venom and notorious aren't beating it. Is it because it's hard to get or just the people who sample these things really don't know what the F they are talking about?

Im not sure what lists you are referring to. I think Hop Venom and Notorious get much of the glory. But to your point, they are harder to acquire than RPM.

ah. well I know us fans of ipa's know the difference and all that but I just know I've heard of the rpm winning best of ... many times. an example http://oregonhophouse.com/category/uncategorized/, and http://www.newschoolbeer.com/2013/12/best-of-year-2013.html. I know a few friends of mine who don't frequent the beer scene were all pumped up over the xmas break because of rpm. But never heard of venom or notorious. Sadly I couldn't have them try notorious during that time of year but they loved venom a lot more than rpm.

I totally get what you are saying, and yes Hop Venom is on a different level. No comparison in my book. The two links you attached were best IPAs (emphasis on the one I) Hop Venom and Notorious are double and triple IPAs respectively - thats why the didn't make those lists.
