Anyone know if they are filling growlers?

    They've never filled Notorious before.

No growler fills this time, either.

I was told by one place that Boneyard requests that Notorious not to be sold in growlers, but I guess some places just do it anyway.

Since Boneyard themselves fills growlers of Notorious (and everything else), that seems like a suspicious claim.

You beat me to the punch. :-) That was exactly the point I was going to make as well. I don't believe they (generally) sell 64 ounce size growlers, but to the best of my knowledge, they've always filled 32 ounce "growlettes." So yeah, it seems odd that they would make such a request.

I would also add that pretty much every place that sells notorious here in Eugene, will sell growlers of it. Also, they let places like Growler Guys get kegs for Chrissakes... of course those "guys" are going to do growler fills of it.

I got a 64 oz. fill at the brewery last May for $20.

Yeah, Bob's in Seattle doesn't serve pints, but consistently has RPM and/or Hop Venom on tap, and is always sent Notorious when it's available. Boneyard doesn't seem to mind them doing growler fills.

Don't kill the messenger, but that's what I was told.

I have a feeling that they might prefer no growler fills so more people can enjoy it, but I doubt they actually require it.

Yeah, I saw your earlier post. That's why I said "generally." :-)

I'm not sure how it's handled in Eugene, but I was been told by my Point Blank rep that Boneyard would "prefer" that the beer not be sold to stand alone growler fill stations. He didn't mention anything about regular bars filling growlers, so I suspect it does have something to do with spreading it out so more folks can enjoy it. FWIW, I've been told the same thing about Barley Brown's Pallet Jack and Fork Lift as well.

I'm hoping that their expansion is going to make getting it more of a regular thing.

I was told twice a year by one of their employees.
And about the 'no growler' thing ... yeah, I was actually told that as well. The way it was explained to me was that Boneyard doesn't want them selling growlers of notorious/suge, and they'd get cut off if they did.

I think that's pretty suspect though, as these bars tend to make more selling it pint by pint. I can appreciate them trying to keep it on for a day or two so everyone gets a chance to try it though. Otherwise a-holes like me would show up with 5 growlers on the morning they tap it lol :grinning:
