Been buying this newer batch a lot lately. Great lower price and much improved taste profile. Plus its everywhere. I believe I saw it a Trader Joes for $12.99. My local has it on the regular for $13.79.

IMO I think they dialed it in just enough, we'll probably see minor tweaks or changes batch to batch going forward. I don't mind a bit of sweetness in the back end of an IPA, glad they were able to find that balance with their latest batches.

Now they just need to get the word out about the new/tweaked recipe and make the MSRP $12.99 and this will be a huge hit for them.

and they should tell some of their accounts (Marty's) to stop selling batches from September like I saw yesterday. It's nly doing them a disservice.

Marty's is owned by their wholesaler... I am guessing they are aware of it.

That's pretty cool for him to do. Obviously the owner could cherry pick and get the freshest batches, but instead he chooses to sell out the old stuff. Might not make his customers happy or make the smartest business sense, but at least he is doing his part.

Mint/blueberry usually comes from Mosaic, in my homebrewing experience.

Can someone explain the new white sticker numbers? Are they dates? Batch#?

I picked up a pack of the 12/21 Boom Sauce based on the improved reviews here. This beer has gotten way better! I drank this along with a Night Shift Santilli IPA and enjoyed them about the same. I'm very glad they have made it better and I'll be buying this again for sure. I wish the price were a little better, however. It's the same price as a Fort Point Pale Ale growler ($8/32oz) and not as good as that, but on the plus side available at almost all beer stores.

FPPA is arguably a pale ale by name alone.

Not saying if the beer is good or not... but this is a great example of where craft beer is heading. People buy beer and don't love it, but keep buying it because they are told it is getting better.

The only thing missing here is the lines waiting to purchase this beer.

But is has, in fact, gotten better. I bought a four-pack when it first came out and didn't buy it again until very recently. I'm glad I gave the tweaked version another shot.

How do you feel spending 15 dollars on something the brewery thought could be better? Why couldn't they have done dozens of pilot batches BEFORE opening the brewery and give us the better version at opening? We're guinea pigs with wallets.

It appears the distributor in RI has just torn the stickers off the 4 packs to try and move old product, have seen no stickers on 4-packs in multiple stores now. Looks like it will probably be a while before I try again around here.

This is all very interesting but back to BS. Poured one earlier tonight and when I went to take the last swig from can I had so much sediment I could chew it (insert joke). This batch has been insanely hazy. Not complaining. I'm thoroughly enjoying it.
