Saw the boon make your own blend guess box in stores and wondered if anyone has tried? Love the idea, but cost is a factor. Thanks and cheers!
Some discussion in a local forum thread last year https://www.beeradvocate.com/community/threads/boon-discovery-box.540841/
If it is this one https://www.totalwine.com/beer/spec...on-vat-sampler/p/193415377?s=512&igrules=true it runs about $56 at Total Wine
I've found Boon Gueze for $8 before a few times/places and always grabbed one. Usually see them more in the $12 range I think for the 375ml. It's a great one for sure. Very good value buy for funky Belgian sour lovers.
Boon is one of the cheaper lambic makers, I can buy pretty much all their non-barrel-conditioned stuff for 3-4€. The Vats really shouldn't be much more expensive than twice that.
The VAT blends contain 90 % of old lambiek from the same foeder which is not the case fort heir standard geuze offering which is the reason for price increase.
